ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL — February 6th — Honorary First Responder Trina Long was welcomed by the St. Lucie County Fire District for an educational and interactive day. She started the visit by meeting with Command Staff at the Administration Complex to talk about community safety and emergency services.

After that, Trina and Division Chief Stefani took a tour of a number of fire stations, where they observed everyday operations, training exercises, and the roles that paramedics and firemen play around the county. She also went to Air Rescue to see how aviation resources help with emergency transportation and patient care. The district keeps putting a strong emphasis on education and public outreach, giving locals the chance to learn more about EMS, fire, and rescue operations while forming enduring relationships across St. Lucie County.
