ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL — February 4th — A residential structure fire in the 100 block of SE Crosspoint Drive was attended to by the St. Lucie County Fire District. Within five minutes after being dispatched, units arrived and found a single-story house with a lot of smoke and fire. In order to stop the fire from spreading to other parts of the house and neighboring properties, firefighters launched a vigorous interior attack. In addition, crews securely removed two dogs from the house and carried out primary searches. There were no reported injuries. The American Red Cross is providing temporary accommodation and support to two people, two minors, and their dogs. The cause of the fire is still being looked into.
