Fayette Leaders Earn State EMS Honors

FAYETTE COUNTY, GA — February 5th — The Fayette County Department of Fire and Emergency Services announced that two members have won state recognition for their performance in Emergency Medical Services. Assistant Chief Scott Roberts was selected the 2025 EMS Director of the Year, while Captain Jason Anderson earned the 2025 EMS Educator of the Year award.

According to officials, the awards recognize leadership, education, and a commitment to providing high-quality pre-hospital treatment. Chief Roberts was acknowledged for leading EMS operations, promoting system innovations, and upholding high clinical and operational standards. Captain Anderson was recognized for his efforts in teaching, mentoring, and keeping troops up to date on lifesaving techniques.
