Stations 1, 4, and 13 Operate at Scene

BLAIRSVILLE, GA — January 26th — Following reports to Union County E911, Union County Fire/Rescue & EMA, 507 Shoe Factory Rd, 30512, responded to a reported structure fire in the Jonica Gap area. Volunteer and career firefighters, together with their equipment, were sent to stations 1, 4, and 13. When firefighters arrived, they discovered a fire in a house's ceiling. Before arrival, the occupants had safely departed.


To prevent more harm, crews launched an inside attack and looked for extension. The house suffered moderate damage, but the fire was put out. There were no reported fatalities or injuries. The cause is still being investigated and has not been formally identified. According to officials, a safe conclusion was backed by early notice and a coordinated response.
