Union County Hosts Multi-Company Training

UNINCORPORATED, GA — January 21st — At Station 3, Union County Fire/Rescue & EMA, 507 Shoe Factory Rd, 30512, had a multi-company training in rigging and ropes. Firefighters from multiple companies participated in the exercise to reinforce safe operating procedures and review fundamental technical rescue abilities. Building anchors, using rescue equipment, and rigging different rope systems were all covered in the training.
Members talked about applications for both high-angle and low-angle rescues and performed mechanical advantage configurations. These methods are applied in situations like rope emergency, trench, and restricted space situations. According to department officials, regular practical training improves communication, cooperation, and operational preparedness. The personnel were honored by Union County Fire/Rescue & EMA for their devotion to upholding the necessary abilities to assist intricate rescue operations around the county.
