JAY, FL - According to the Jay Volunteer Fire Department, SQ14 and E14 responded on mutual assistance to a brush fire that was posing a threat to a neighboring structure, February 3rd. In order to confine the fire and safeguard exposures in arid and forested areas, crews responded and collaborated with nearby firefighters.

To stop the spread, firefighters set up control lines, attacked the fire, and supplied water. No injuries were reported, and the structure was protected by the concerted effort. To keep an eye on the situation and deal with hot spots, crews stayed on the scene.

Strong mutual aid partnerships are essential during brush and wildland occurrences, according to department officials. The Jay Volunteer Fire Department expressed gratitude to the supporting agencies for their continued dedication to neighborhood safety and regional response.
