Fall River, Ma. At 10:00 am on the morning of February 18th firefighters responded to 102 Cananicus Street for a still alarm. Engine 9 arrived on scene and reported flames showing from the first floor windows. Command requested a second alarm based on the report from Engine 9. The fire appeared to start on the exterior of the three decker and worked its way into the first floor apartment. Once the fire was knocked down Command called for the building inspector due to observations of suspect alterations to the structure.
