CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FL — February 12th — Charlotte County Emergency Management took part in the Heritage Oak Park Disaster Readiness Day, meeting with approximately 100 residents to encourage emergency preparedness and community resilience. The program aimed to help individuals understand local threats and what procedures they can take before, during, and after an emergency.

Emergency Management Director Patrick Fuller gave a lecture covering critical readiness steps such as making emergency kits, organizing evacuations, and staying informed during severe weather and other risks. Team members also operated an information booth, where they distributed Disaster Guides, helped residents sign up for Alert Charlotte, and answered questions about evacuation zones and local dangers.
