SANFORD, FL — January 23rd — Through the Seminole County Public Schools Epathways "Get Informed About the Uniform" recruitment campaign, the Seminole County Fire Department started reaching out to high school students. During the first visit, firefighters spoke with students about careers in fire and emergency services at Winter Springs High School.

The Bear Brigade, the school's brand-new fire academy, which is halfway through its first year and has more than 90 students enrolled, was also featured during the visit. The curriculum offers exposure to public safety operations, career knowledge, and practical training. According to officials, the outreach encourages students to explore jobs in emergency services, builds relationships with nearby schools, and supports workforce development.
