DALTON, GA — February 1st — The Georgia Smoke Diver Program is officially hosted and sponsored by the City of Dalton Fire Department, located at 404 School St., Dalton, GA, 30720. Candidates from all around the state and the nation are enrolled in the training, which started at the Dalton Fire Department Training Center on Abutment Road.

The program is renowned for its rigorous curriculum that emphasizes advanced fireground operations, leadership, teamwork, and firefighter safety. In order to improve their technical and decision-making abilities, participants complete realistic and physically demanding scenarios. According to fire officials, holding the class fosters agency collaboration and professional development. Georgia Smoke Diver Class 68 was welcomed by the department, which also wished all applicants a safe, fruitful, and successful training week.
