VAILS GATE, NY - At approximately 8:15 A.M. on February 14th, Vails Gate Firefighters were alerted to an electrical fire in the walls of a condo complex. Upon the arrival of Car 2, it was determined there was an active fire in the walls.

E478 secured a hydrant and proceeded to stretch a handline and extinguished the fire within a few minutes and overhaul began.

Our agency was assisted on scene by Washingtonville's FAST, City of Newburgh Engine and New Windsor Paramedics. The cause is under investigation by the Town of New Windsor Fire Inspector's Office.
