PLAINFIELD, CT — January 29th — On Moosup Pond Road close to Putnam Road, a car crash with alleged entrapment was attended by the Plainfield Police Department, American Legion Ambulance, and the Atwood Hose Fire Company, 24 Wauregan Road. When firefighters started extricating one of the automobiles, emergency medical services assessed both operators. In less than ten minutes, crews securely extracted the trapped driver using hydraulic rescue tools.

While the second operator refused medical attention, one patient with minor injuries was taken to a nearby hospital. While crews secured the site and removed both vehicles, the road remained closed. In order to improve patient outcomes and ensure safety during major crashes around the Plainfield area, officials stated that quick extrication and effective interagency communication are essential.
