LIVONIA, NY - On Monday, February 14th, Town of Livonia fire departments (Livonia, Hemlock and Lakeville), along with East Avon (FAST), responded to a chimney fire at 84 Big Tree Street. Livonia Fire Chief Blake Fennell arrived on location and reported an active chimney fire in a large two-and-a-half story dwelling. East Avon Quint 278 laddered the chimney, while Livonia's interior crews checked for extension. The fire was brought under control in about one hour. There were no injuries. Also assisting on scene were Livingston County EMS, Livingston County Sheriff's Office and Livingston County Emergency Management.
