Rangeley Crews Contain Dryer Fire with Quick Response

January 20th — Rangeley, ME — Rangeley Fire Rescue responded to a reported dryer fire on Rumford Road at 12:49 p.m. The first team came and took charge, reporting smoke in the building. Crews gained inside and discovered the fire in a clothes dryer.
A first alarm structure response was requested, which included more staff and engines from Eustis and Phillips. Firefighters rapidly doused the fire and restricted it to the appliance, minimizing damage and preventing it from spreading to the structure. The event was brought under control in minutes. Mutual aid companies were later canceled while Rangeley firefighters finished the overhaul and certified the fire was completely out. There were no injuries recorded.
