SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI - The Union Fire District of South Kingstown, RI responded with the Kingston Fire District to a reported structure fire in the evening on January 17th. When units arrived, they discovered a fire in the front of the building. Crews advanced handlines and rapidly brought the fire under control, restricting its spread and protecting the rest of the structure. There were no injuries reported among inhabitants or firefighters. The Narragansett Fire Department provided station coverage during the incident to ensure emergency response throughout the region.
