On February 3, Andover Fire Rescue Engine Company 1 responded as mutual aid to the City of Lawrence for a second alarm structure fire on Oxford Street. The request brought the business right to the scene to help Lawrence crews with firefighting efforts. Unit 2 was on duty at the time of dispatch, and they staffed the assignment. Second-alarm responses often include extra engine companies to assist with firefighting, water supply, and overhaul operations.
