Botsford Fire Rescue Assists with Mutual Aid Structure Fire and Responds to Injury Crash

BOTSFORD, CT - Botsford Fire Rescue was dispatched Tuesday afternoon, February 12th, to provide mutual aid assistance to Dodgingtown Fire Company for a reported structure fire in the Town of Bethel, with Hawleyville Fire Company also added to the assignment following reports of fire through the roof.
Upon arrival, Botsford crews assisted with overhaul operations as firefighters worked to extinguish remaining hot spots and check for fire extension. Although the residence sustained significant damage, crews from Bethel Fire & EMS and Stony Hill Fire Department made an aggressive interior attack that successfully brought the fire under control.
After clearing the scene and returning to town, Botsford units were dispatched to a two-vehicle MVA with reported injuries on South Main Street (Route 25). The incident temporarily closed one lane of traffic while emergency personnel assessed and treated patients. No extrication was required.
