Mutual Aid Responds to Northampton Structure Fire

NORTHAMPTON, MA — February 4th — A structure fire was reported at 209 Locust Street, and Northampton Fire Rescue, 26 Carlon Dr, Northampton, MA, United States, 01060, was called to the scene. Three engine companies, one ladder company, and a chief officer were part of the first response. When they arrived, they noticed smoke coming from a building in the back of the address.


The Incident Commander declared a working fire after crews entered and found high temperatures and a lot of smoke. South Deerfield, Hadley, and Easthampton all sent mutual aid. Advanced life support coverage was supplied by Pioneer Valley EMS. During the incident, Northampton stations were covered by other departments. On-site assistance was provided by Northampton Police. State and local authorities are still investigating the fire.
