WATERTOWN, MA - A morning chimney fire on Mount Auburn Street was responded to by the Watertown Fire Department on January 25th. In order to minimize water damage to the house and put out the fire inside the flue, arriving companies utilized a specialized chimney nozzle. Without opening walls or ceilings, the instrument enables workers to move water upward into the chimney. Deputy Chief A. Geswell was the Incident Commander, and Group 2 was on duty. There were no reported injuries.
