CAMBRIDGE, MA — February 2nd — The Cambridge MA Fire Department, 491 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, United States, 02138, announced that five recruit firefighters completed “Burn Day 6,” the 41st day of the 50-day program at the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Fire Academy. Recruits responded from the simulated station to multiple fires on multiple floors. Operating as fire companies, they established water supplies, advanced attack lines, searched for victims, ventilated, overhauled, and served as pump operators. The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy requires live-fire training that meets national safety standards and emphasizes coordinated engine and ladder company operations. Instructors and support staff continue guiding recruits as they move toward graduation.
