Mutual Aid Supports Brookline Box 2-151

CAMBRIDGE, MA — January 31st — The Brookline Fire Department received mutual aid from the Cambridge MA Fire Department, 491 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, United States, 02138, in response to a second alarm fire at Box 2-151 on Davis Avenue. Division 1, Ladder 3, and Squad 2 were designated as the Rapid Intervention Team. RIT companies are ready to help teams working inside the building and are positioned to support firefighter safety. For the assignment, Group 3 was on duty.


During the event, Engine 2 moved to keep coverage in Cambridge. In order to handle prolonged operations, Brookline's second alarm fires call in extra engine and ladder companies as well as command personnel. The synchronized mutual help system throughout the Metro Boston area is highlighted in the reaction.
