CAMBRIDGE, MA — January 31st — The Brookline Fire Department received mutual aid from the Cambridge MA Fire Department, 491 Broadway, Cambridge, MA, United States, 02138, in response to a second alarm fire at Box 2-151 on Davis Avenue. Division 1, Ladder 3, and Squad 2 were designated as the Rapid Intervention Team. RIT companies are ready to help teams working inside the building and are positioned to support firefighter safety. For the assignment, Group 3 was on duty.

During the event, Engine 2 moved to keep coverage in Cambridge. In order to handle prolonged operations, Brookline's second alarm fires call in extra engine and ladder companies as well as command personnel.
