CAMBRIDGE, MA — January 19th — The Cambridge, Massachusetts Fire Department, located at 491 Broadway, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02138, honored Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy on Martin Luther King Day. In the emergency services industry, Dr. King's advice to "never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake" is still relevant. His message is in line with what police enforcement, firefighters, and EMS providers do on a regular basis.

Every January, the federal holiday is marked to commemorate Dr. King's dedication to community service, equality, and accountability. The day serves as a reminder to public safety workers that having the guts to act when it counts most is the first step towards protecting others.
