Multiple mobile homes destroyed

On February 11th, Hernando Fire and Rescue were receiving calls for a fire at the Holiday Springs RV Park. On the dispatch BC1 BC 3 Engines 2 6 Quint 1 R1 R12 were assigned. On arrival of Quint 1 heavy fire and smoke coming from multiple mobile homes and RV's. Quint 1 immediately went into defensive mode attack. A line was stretched as they awaited for additional engines to arrive and assist with a water supply. The fire was spreading very quickly and threatning other homes so addition help was called. Pasco County was called to assist at the scene as it took about 1 hour to bring the blaze under control. The homeowner of the mobile home had gone to work. One civilian did make entry to the home and was able to get her dog out safely. After the fire brought under control a total count of 2 RV's and 2 mobile homes were destroyed plus additional to 1 RV and 2 mobile homes sustained heat damage. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's office.
