ASHLAND, MA — January 26th — A car accident at Mill Pond Waterfalls on Myrtle Street prompted the Ashland Police Department and Ashland Fire Department to respond. When crews got there, they discovered a car in the Sudbury River. At the site, the motorist was assessed and given medical attention. While police oversaw traffic control in the area, firefighters secured the car and evaluated potential risks.

Later, a towing firm pulled the car out of the river. Coordinated actions are necessary to address safety and environmental issues in water-related incidents. Although the route is now open again, vehicles are advised to use caution while the last stages of cleanup are completed. After the scene was cleared, the units went back into duty.
