HOLLISTON, MA — January 12th — A medical emergency involving a patient who fell about thirty feet from a building at the Warren Conference Center prompted the Ashland Fire Department to offer mutual aid to the Holliston Fire Department. Ambulance 2 and Engine 2 arrived to help with scene operations and patient care. In order to facilitate quick air transportation, crews secured a landing zone for Boston MedFlight. To package and move the patient to the aircraft crew, firefighters collaborated. Advanced medical support and careful coordination are necessary when responding to calls involving serious falls. Strong cooperation and mutual aid were evident in the response. Later that day, units cleared the area and went back to work.
