ASHLAND, MA — January 12th — Earlier this morning, the Ashland Fire Department was called to a suspected vehicle fire on Eliot Street. When Engine 1 arrived, they discovered a vehicle fire that was actively spreading and started to put it out. Before the fire could spread to neighboring property, firefighters quickly put out the flames by extending a handline. After securing the area, crews inspected the car for hot areas. There were no reported injuries. Vehicle fires can involve electrical and fuel systems, necessitating quick response and well-coordinated efforts. Engine 1 was quickly put back into service when the situation was cleared, and the event was handled effectively.
