Multiple Departments Respond to Working House Fire in Shirley

SHIRLEY, NY - On a recent Thursday afternoon, around 1:00 P.M., the Brookhaven Fire Department was activated for a report of a house fire on Carmen View Dr. Fire-Com advised they were receiving multiple calls for a house fire. The daytime mutual aid pre-plan was also activated.
On arrival of the first due engine, the front of the home was fully engulfed in flames and the first due Brookhaven engine went to work along with an engine crew from Mastic Beach stretching lines. Additional mutual aid came into the scene from Mastic, Center Moriches, Manorville and more. A tower ladder was put into operation as well.
Firefighters were on scene for an extended period of time operating. The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal was called to the scene as well. Shirley and Mastic Beach Ambulance were on scene for rehab and in case any injuries occurred.
