LINDENHURST, NY - At approximately 3:54 P.M. on February 6th, the Lindenhurst Fire Department was alerted for a reported auto fire threatening a structure. Zones 2 and 3 were activated, and upon the arrival of Chief of Department Michael DeGregorio, he had a well involved auto that was not threatening any structures. On the arrival of Engine 1-6-1, they put a line in to operation to quickly knock down the fire, and on arrival of 1-6-3 they helped with water supply. Crews used approximately 1,000-gallons to extinguish the fire, as well as wet down the auto. Units operated under Chief of Department, Michael DeGregorio. There were no reported injuries.
