Stoughton, MA — January 19th — In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Stoughton Fire Rescue joined departments across. Martin Luther King Jr.'s efforts to promote equality and nonviolent change are honored on this date. The day serves as a reminder to emergency services personnel of their duty to protect and treat every resident fairly and with respect.
In addition to being a national day of service, Martin Luther King Jr. Day promotes community service and voluntarism. As they continued their regular operations and emergency response coverage, fire departments around Massachusetts commemorated the day by considering their dedication to professionalism, teamwork, and public trust.
