Randolph, MA — January 22nd — 911 calls indicated smoke on the third floor of a three-story condominium building, and Randolph Fire responded to a fire alarm at 59 Highland Glen Drive. When the companies arrived, they discovered smoke coming from a window on the third story. Even the fire unit's occupant, who was helped by neighbors, had left the area prior to arrival.

Firefighters found a bedroom fire and swiftly put it out after advancing a hose line to the third level. According to an initial assessment, a candle was most likely the cause. There were no reported injuries. Residents that were displaced received assistance from the Massachusetts American Red Cross. While other agencies covered stations, the Braintree Fire Department offered mutual help.
