Bay Shore Fire Department Reports 2025 Alarm Totals and Year of Service

January 8, 2026 — The Bay Shore Fire Department released its 2025 alarm totals this week, highlighting a year of steady response and continued commitment to public safety. Throughout the year, Bay Shore firefighters responded to a total of 1,176 fire-related incidents, including 457 nuisance alarms, 10 working fires, 11 vehicle fires, 15 heavy rescue motor vehicle accidents, and 14 mutual aid working fires. Department officials emphasized that volunteer members remain dedicated to answering calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring uninterrupted fire protection services for the residents of Bay Shore and Brightwaters. The department expressed gratitude to its volunteers and the community for their continued support as they carry this mission forward.
