Norfolk, MA — January 21st — A full recall was sent by the Norfolk Fire Department, located at 117 Main St., to a residence on Sweetland Farm Road after it was reported that power lines were burning against the house. The shift commander brought an engine from Wrentham Fire Department and a ladder company from Millis Fire Department in response to the shift commander's request for a First Alarm assignment due to the dangers involved.

When Engine 1 arrived, there was melted siding outside, active fire, and arcing from overhead electrical lines. Firefighters made sure the fire had not spread to the building and restored power inside the house. With assistance from the electrical inspector and Metacomet Emergency Communications Center, crews stayed on the scene until Eversource turned off the electricity and the exterior overhaul was finished.
