Medway, MA — January 25th — As a snowstorm affected the neighborhood, the Medway Fire Department, which has its headquarters at 44 Milford Street, responded to several service requests. A chimney fire that was recorded on Independence Lane was one of the occurrences. When Engines 3, 2, Ladder 1, and Car 2 arrived, they discovered a chimney fire contained inside the flue.

In order to stop extension and lessen any damage to the house, crews tried to clean the chimney and ventilate the house. There were no reports of structural damage, and the event was resolved without any more issues. Emergency response activity is frequently increased during winter storms, especially for calls involving heating. The reaction demonstrates Medway firefighters' continuous preparedness and well-coordinated efforts to provide coverage in the face of severe weather.
