Panama City Fire Department Honors Excellence and Service at Annual Awards Ceremony

PANAMA CITY, FL - January 23, 2026 — The Panama City Fire Department held its annual Awards Ceremony this afternoon at Fire Station 1, recognizing the exceptional dedication, professionalism, and service of its personnel and community members.


During the ceremony, Captain Eric Vossen was honored for 20 years of distinguished service, while Engineer Eric Ponce received the Attendance Award for exemplary commitment. Amanda Stiffler was presented with the Community Service Award for her continued support and outreach, and Engineer Jake Taylor and Firefighter Oscar Vega were recognized with the Meritorious Service Award. The department also honored Gage Lang and Gracie Lang with the Citizen Community Life Saving Award for their courageous actions, and Captain Eric Vossen, Engineer Patrice Chery, and Firefighter Oscar Vega received the Life Saving Award for their heroic response. Engineer John Gore was presented with the Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions.


Department leadership thanked all honorees for their unwavering commitment to public safety and their daily efforts to keep Panama City safe.
