Nearly 300 Calls Handled by Port Washington Fire in January

The Port Washington Fire Department has released their call statistics for January 2026, which reflect consistent operational activity throughout fire and EMS services. During the month, firemen and EMS responded to a total of 299 calls for help. Of those, 171 were emergency medical replies, indicating that the community's demand for EMS care remains strong. Firefighters responded to 128 fire-related occurrences, which ranged from alarms and investigations to active fires.
