Wareham, MA — January 20th — The Wareham Fire Department was called to a reported working fire in the Onset neighborhood of the town, close to North Water Street. Assistant Chief Haskell was on the scene overseeing fire suppression and assisting with incident operations in Tower 1, Engine 1, and Car 2.

While maintaining firefighter safety and safeguarding neighboring properties, crews took command and worked to contain the situation. In order to sustain coverage throughout the community and support ongoing operations, more resources were positioned as needed. In order to provide unhindered access for emergency workers and equipment, fire officials requested that residents and drivers stay away from the area. In order to maintain safe and effective emergency operations, the Wareham Fire Department continues to respond to occurrences throughout Wareham and depends on public cooperation.
