Wareham, MA — January 10th — On January 10, the Wareham Fire Department responded to a fourth-alarm fire in the Town of Bourne by providing mutual aid. As part of a massive, multi-departmental response, Assistant Chief Haskell, Engine 1, and Tower 1 arrived and conducted operations on the scene.

Under Bourne Fire leadership, Wareham teams were tasked with supporting ongoing scene operations and fire control. In order to sustain fireground operations and guarantee coverage throughout the area, fourth-alarm incidents necessitate a large amount of personnel, equipment, and coordination. Located at 273 Main Street, the Wareham Fire Department frequently takes part in regional mutual assistance actions around the southeast region of Massachusetts. When incidents surpass the capabilities of a single municipality, the response demonstrates the ongoing collaboration among local fire departments.
