Revere, MA — January 22nd — A significant winter storm is predicted to affect the area, so the Revere Fire Department declared a City Snow Emergency for Sunday. Fire officials urged citizens to get ready in advance by putting emergency supplies together, winterizing cars, and making sure their carbon monoxide and smoke detectors are functioning correctly.
Residents are urged to minimize travel during the storm to ensure the safe operation of plows and emergency vehicles. In order to prevent injuries, officials also urged the public to use caution when shoveling snow and to take breaks. Throughout the night, the Regional Warming Center located at 738 Broadway in Chelsea will remain open. Throughout the storm, Revere Fire will work in tandem with law enforcement, DPW, emergency medical services, and local partners.
