BAKER COUNTY, FL - January 16, 2026 — Baker County Fire Rescue formally welcomed four new firefighters into the department during a badge ceremony held on January 16th, marking the completion of their orientation training program.
The ceremony recognized Weston Avera, Seth Montcalm, Carl Richardson, and Bradley Salazar, who are now officially assigned to protect and serve Baker County. Family members were in attendance as each firefighter was presented with their badge, symbolizing their transition from recruit to full member of the department.
BCFR leadership congratulated the new hires on their accomplishment and emphasized the responsibility and pride that comes with wearing the badge. The department noted that the addition of the four firefighters strengthens staffing and reinforces its commitment to public safety across the county.
