West Boylston, MA — February 2nd — In the morning, the West Boylston Fire Department arrived at the scene of a reported shed fire on Central Avenue. Squad 2, Car 1, Engine 5, and Engine 4 were sent to the scene. When Command arrived, they discovered a two-story, 20-by-20-foot outbuilding that was heavily burned. Because of the neighborhood's close proximity, a number of neighboring residences were determined to be exposures.

When a working fire was declared, Leominster, Clinton, and West Boylston offered each other assistance in suppressing the fire. During operations, the Sterling Fire Headquarters was covered by the Lancaster and Holden Fire Departments. Neither firemen nor bystanders were reported injured when the fire was put out.
