Warren, MA — January 25th — When a winter storm delivered dangerous traffic conditions and a lot of snow to the area, the Warren Fire Department continued emergency operations. During the storm's peak, many citizens heeded advisories to stay off the roads, allowing staff to concentrate on vital tasks, according to public safety officials. The Warren Highway Department plowed and treated the town's roadways twenty-four hours a day.

To guarantee prompt response times in spite of the weather, a number of call members stayed at the fire station during the 12 hours with the highest snowfall rates. In Ware, firefighters responded to a mutual aid reaction to a chimney fire, an oven fire, and a medical emergency.
