One Transported After Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75

(OCALA, FL.) Feb. 6, 2022 – Ocala Fire Rescue units responded to a collision on I-75 SB, roughly one mile from exit 350 (Hernando/Dunnellon), at 5 a.m.

Engine 4 and Rescue 4 were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision. While in route, Dispatch updated the incident to a multiple-vehicle accident. At that point, Tower 1, Battalion Chief 11, and a Safety Officer were requested to respond to the call.

Units arrived to find two semis (one jackknifed) and three passenger vehicles upright, blocking all I-75 SB lanes. Although damages ranged from major to minor, crews confirmed no entrapments.

One person, the driver of the red passenger vehicle, was transported to the hospital.

No other injuries were reported.

Ocala Police Department, Florida Highway Patrol, and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
