Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Logs 120 Calls in January

The Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Department has released its January 2026 Fire-Rescue Monthly Report, which details response activity, prevention work, and training initiatives for the month.
During January, the department responded to 120 calls for service, including two fires and 66 EMS-related situations requiring rescue or extrication. Firefighters also reacted to hazardous conditions, service calls, and inadvertent alarms while remaining prepared during all shifts. Fire prevention personnel executed inspections, issued certificates of occupancy, and processed permits, totaling 19 prevention-related tasks. Training remained a top priority, with over 900 staff training hours logged, including courses completed in January. Department leadership noted January highlights included the start of ambulance transport operations on January 5th and continued coordination with Stewart’s Ambulance during the transition to full service.
