February 4, 2026 — Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services announced that the countywide outdoor warning siren test will take place today at 12:00 p.m., as scheduled on the first Wednesday of each month. The routine test is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the siren system remains operational and ready to alert residents during emergencies. Today’s test coincides with Georgia Severe Weather Preparedness Week, during which the National Weather Service will also be programming NOAA Weather Radios at approximately 9:30 a.m. Residents are encouraged to use this opportunity to review severe weather plans, confirm multiple alerting methods are in place, and stay informed throughout the week.
