Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services Responds to Residential Structure Fire on Colony Court

January 26, 2026 — Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services responded to a reported residential structure fire late Monday evening in Cartersville. At approximately 9:10 p.m., crews were dispatched to 13 Colony Court NW after reports of a fire at a residence. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a split-level, wood-frame home with heavy fire showing. Crews worked swiftly to contain the blaze and prevent further spread. One individual sustained an injury during the incident and was treated on scene by EMS personnel before being released. The home sustained major damage, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials commended the coordinated response of fire and EMS personnel and reminded residents of the importance of fire safety and preparedness.
