February 2, 2026 — Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services released its most recent public notice detailing responses to two separate residential structure fires that occurred in late January and early February. On January 30, 2026, at approximately 8:25 p.m., fire crews, assisted by the City of Cartersville Fire Department, were dispatched to 39 Young Street SE in Cartersville following reports of a residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived to find a single-story, wood-frame home with heavy smoke and visible fire. The blaze was determined to be accidental, caused major damage to the home, and resulted in no reported injuries. A second incident occurred on February 1, 2026, at approximately 5:01 a.m., when crews responded to 252 Ward Mountain Road NW in Adairsville. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a double-wide manufactured home with heavy smoke and fire conditions.
