January 22, 2026 — Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services responded at approximately 8:02 a.m. to a reported commercial structure fire at 317 Covered Bridge Road in Cartersville. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and visible flames coming from the structure. Crews immediately initiated an offensive fire attack to contain the blaze and prevent further damage, while additional units were dispatched to assist with suppression efforts. The fire was successfully brought under control, and no injuries were reported. Following an initial investigation, officials determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.
