January 14, 2026 — Bartow County Government and Bartow County Fire & Emergency Services recognized outstanding service and dedication during their End-of-Year Awards Ceremony, honoring five firefighters for exceptional performance, leadership, and character throughout 2025. The ceremony highlighted individuals nominated by department leadership for going above and beyond in service to the community and their fellow responders. Award recipients included Officer of the Year Mickey Cooper, Rookie of the Year Cameron Blaney, Callison Howell “Heart of Service” Award recipient Christian Howell, Instructor of the Year Peter Quezada, and Firefighter of the Year Joseph Green. While Quezada and Green were not pictured, department officials praised all honorees for their commitment, professionalism, and positive impact on public safety across Bartow County.
