Shrewsbury, MA — February 3rd — A two-car motor vehicle accident was reported on Route 20 near Grafton Street, and the Shrewsbury, Massachusetts Fire Department, Shrewsbury Police, and Worcester EMS responded. Airbag deployment and unidentified injuries were reported in dispatch information. The occupants in both cars had already self-extricated and were off the road before the firefighters arrived. After assessing all parties involved on the incident, EMS professionals concluded that an ambulance transfer was not necessary. While police controlled traffic at the busy intersection, fire crews secured vehicle hazards and helped with scene safety. Responders worked quickly to reduce delays because Route 20 is a busy thoroughfare in the evening. Until all vehicles were removed and the route was safe for regular traffic flow, all units stayed on the scene.
