Shrewsbury, MA — January 29th — In the morning, the Shrewsbury, Massachusetts Fire Department was called to a two-car collision on Route 20. Earlier in the day, Worcester EMS, Shrewsbury Police, and Shrewsbury Fire responded to four traffic-related incidents. While emergency medical personnel assessed the affected occupants, firefighters arrived to secure the area. Traffic control measures were implemented to enable crews to work safely, and no significant injuries were reported.

The higher number of crashes is thought to have been caused by the winter weather conditions that persisted throughout the morning. Responders stressed safe driving techniques, such as lowering speeds and increasing following distance, on Route 20, a widely used corridor, while crews continued to handle many accidents around the town.
